'Muybridge Zoetrope' Breakfast Bowl
'Muybridge Zoetrope' Breakfast Bowl
Whether it holds your cereal, soup or ice cream, we hope this becomes your favorite bowl. It features images taken by Eadweard Muybridge in the 1870s and 1880s. Commissioned by Leland Stanford, Muybridge was tasked with proving that at one point in a horse's stride, all four hooves are completely off the ground. They were the first in a series of studies of human and animal locomotion, and also were the precursors to the first motion pictures.
